Spring time at Chickies rock
It was recently the first week of spring, and in Lancaster the weather was fa-nominal. Temperatures are now reaching the mid 50's so it is now a great time to get some out door activities in. Lancaster has many actives suited for the nice warm weather like, walking around downtown, biking on the rail road trail, swimming in the many ponds and lakes, and hiking at the scenic chickens rock.
Chickies rock in Lancaster is a breath taking cliff that over looks the beautiful Susquehanna river. Visiting Chickies is the perfect thing to do for anyone that wants a little outdoor activity. There is a variety in the difficulty trails, which makes it good for the whole family. There are steep trails, flat trails, scenic trails and reclusive trails. At the end of the main trail is the scenic view of the river which is common for pictures. Below the cliff in the paved trail for biking and walking in case you don't want to hike on uneven train. With the spring time weather quickly rounding the corner Chickies rock is a great destination.
