Lancaster Country Day Girls' Basketball State Playoff Game

The Lancaster Country Day girls' basketball team came off of their District 3 Class 1A championship with a win in the first round of the PIAA State Playoffs, as they topped Northeast Bradford by a score of 45-30 Saturday at the Warwick High School. The team exploded from a 24-22 3rd quarter deficit to eventually outscore Northeast Bradford 23-6 down the stretch. Ashanti Duncan led with 18 points, while Kaela Stankiewicz added 10 points for the balanced offensive attack.

The team will face Susquehanna Community in the second round on Wednesday, where they will look to advance and keep what has become a dream season for the Cougars alive. Be sure to come out and show your support for the team, as well as the other local teams still competing!
